The aim of 'Mid-Month Meditation' is to introduce you to various relaxation & meditation techniques enabling you to pick and choose the one that is suitable for you to integrate into your everyday life.

With so many meditation techniques on offer, it can be quite daunting knowing where to start and which one to choose. Many of us feel like we just need to get out of the city to have some quiet time or spend a weekend away in a retreat to get some clear head space. But our busy lives do not always allow for this; never mind the costs involved. Meditation is one great inexpensive way to find that 'clear head space' we all need. There is no right or wrong way to meditate as I feel that each person will have their own preference depending on their lifestyle and where they are in their life journey. However knowing a few basic techniques can help you to maximise what time you are able to spare, in what is most likely an already busy schedule. From breathing techniques, guided visualisations to listening to music and if you're up for it, chanting mantras, there is a something for everyone! The aim of 'Mid-Month Meditation' is to introduce you to various relaxation & meditation techniques enabling you to pick and choose the one that is suitable for you to integrate into your everyday life. Each month will cover a different topic or theme providing you with resources and tools where appropriate. Generally, the first half of the session will be spent discussing the general benefits of meditation and then introducing you to a few techniques based on the topic of the month, with the rest of the session left free to practice a chosen meditation technique. As per the title, the group takes place generally mid month on a WEDNESDAY for about an hour and a half from 6.30pm at the CANADA WATER LIBRARY - Meeting Room 1. The cost of this is only ?5 (Pay at the session) So whether you are new to meditation or want to try some different techniques, come along and sit in peace with us!
