Adapting the traditional Christian observance of Good Friday, this Unitarian Tenebrae service is open and inclusive of all. It is an occasion to mark the darkness in our world. This service for Good Friday adapts a traditional Christian observance. Good Friday is the day of despair that precedes the joy of Easter Sunday. This Unitarian Tenebrae service is an occasion to mark the darkness in our world. We will begin with lit candles and gradually extinguish them one by one, as we share readings. The service will end in near darkness.
